Our first gig of the new intake year took place last weekend at The Grapes Hotel, Kearsley. Our new Rockiteers

were brilliant and entertained the crowds with everything from

punk, grunge, indie, metal and a little bit of soul.

First up were Derek and the Dank Engines with their new and old punk vibes, then Sprite Incident with a bit of northern indie, followed by Motorbreath who channelled some classic metal and thrash, and finally of our new bands we had Native Wasteland who grunged it up and even inspired a moshpit to start! Veteran Rock It! young leaders The Pulse ended the night with some uplifting soul.

If you missed it, don’t forget you can come and watch all these bands and more at our annual festival on Queens Park on Saturday 8th August, 12-6pm. Check out the pics below and our Facebook page for some video clips from the audience.
